Last week was a throwing week in the studio, and by the weekend everything was bisque fired and ready for glazing.

Today begins my glazing week with 22 pieces waiting for me, and this is always the part of the process I look forward to most. I love throwing, but glazing is truly my happy place, the planning, the layering of glazes and hopeful results. Its all so exciting and so fun for me.

This week I'm doing some of my favorites pieces again, a few beach-themed pieces, some fruit-inspired ones, and a few other little treats that have been on my mind.

There’s always a mix of planning and surprise in a glazing week, and that’s part of what I love so much about it.

Now it’s time to get to work.
