We’ve made some changes to Alania Crafts so the focus is clearer. While creativity has taken many forms in our life over the years, pottery is now the heart of this space, and it felt time for the site to reflect that more honestly.

In the past, Alania Crafts held pottery alongside jewelry, steampunk, woodworking, and other handmade work. All of that is still part of our story. It matters. It helped shape who we are and the creative life we’ve built together. But over time, it became clear that presenting everything side by side made the site feel broader than what it truly is right now.

These days, my work at Alania Crafts is centered in pottery. That is where my time, energy, and attention are going. Albert’s creative path is also continuing, with his focus now turning more fully toward his writing and The Durajan Series. His steampunk and jewelry work remain part of our larger story, but they are no longer the center of what this site is here to offer.

That shift may sound small, but it matters.

When someone comes here looking for pottery, I want them to know immediately that they are in the right place. I want the site to feel clear, focused, and true to what we are actually making and sharing now. I also want to be respectful of what we are not actively offering, so there is less confusion and fewer mixed expectations.

This is not about leaving parts of our creative life behind. It is more about letting each part live in the right place.

So Alania Crafts is now more clearly centered on pottery, while our wider creative story still has a home in Our Story. That feels right to us. Simpler. Truer. More in step with where we are.
